Get Involved
There are lots of ways you can get involved in Arts Hub 47, whether you are an artist or craftsperson - or even if you're not a creative.
Join the co-operative
You can become a member for just £1 a year, and support the work of the co-operative.
Just call into the shop and we will happily sign you up.
You can continue to support the co-operative by following and promoting us on Facebook and Twitter,
and of course by using our facilities - buying gifts and attending our events and workshops.
You can sign up to our mailing list here too.

Volunteer
We're always looking for volunteers, to work in the shop or to help with advertising and marketing.
From time to time we also need people with particular skills such as DIY or computer skills.
If you have some spare time and would like to get involved then just let us know about your past experience,
when you are available and what you'd like to help us with.
We're particularly interested in people who can commit to working in the shop a regular day each week, especially Saturdays and Sundays.
It's a great way to meet new people and gain extra experience while helping with our valuable work.

Exhibiting and selling your work
Members of the committee will look at your products and make a joint decision - we always aim to have a diverse mix of disciplines and styles of work stocked in the shop. We're interested in good quality, competitively priced products which are different to the stock we already hold. Products must of course be handmade and your own work.
We offer an extremely competitive sale or return package. The annual subscription for artists selling in the shop is just £30 a year plus £1 membership - or free if you are an active volunteer plus £1 membership. Commission on sales is 30%, which all goes towards the running of the co-operative; please do bear this in mind when deciding on your sales price. All stock should be labelled with your name and sales price when you bring it into the shop, so it is ready to sell straight away.
As a seller it is your responsibility to call in regularly and check on your stock levels, replenishing as necessary. It's worth noting that if you have items in the shop for three months and they do not sell we will contact you and ask you to remove or swap them for something else, so that we always have something new for customers to look at. You'll be paid by BACS for the previous months sales.
As a seller you'll also be invited to General meetings to discuss new ideas and have your input into the co-operative, you'll be given the opportunity at this point to volunteer on various projects we are working on.

Workshops
We hope to run regular workshops and events in our downstairs rooms.
Please do keep checking back as we'll update the website with forthcoming workshops if you are
interested in learning a new skill.
If you are able to run a workshop - not necessarily arts and crafts - we'll consider hosting anything which may be suitable, then get in touch. Room hire is very reasonable. You will then be required to promote your event and encourage people to book in, although we can assist with the promotion and any advice you may need about this.

We rely on commission taken from sales in the shop and the money we charge for room hire to meet all of our overheads. Arts Hub 47 is entirely not-for-profit, and everyone involved works in a voluntary capacity. If you would like to donate to help us carry on our work then you can do so here.
